In addition, Alcatel-Lucent Research Partner program (ALRP) is a worldwide program which promotes close long-term relationships with key universities and academic institutions.

The academic Partners have privileged access to the company's worldwide research community giving a wider audience to their findings. In turn, the program enables Alcatel-Lucent researchers to build stronger relations where to exchange information and identify and explore future trends in technology with a small number of world-class partners. To better share information between partners, Alcatel-Lucent provides an Extranet, which offers all information related to the Partnership Fora, and also gives room for partners exchange at bilateral or multilateral level. The Extranet is available by subscription submitted to registration (Alcatel-Lucent Research Partners) or as Guest under some conditions and Non Disclosure Agreement.
